Sharida Hosein McKenzie, Austin,  is assisting with a fundraiser dinner and raffle for the organization, A Glimmer of Hope (http://aglimmerofhope.org/). The organization provides support to programs that supply water and sanitation, education, health care, agricultural assistance and micro-finance opportunities all over the developing world, and right here in Austin. The event is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008, from 6-8 p.m. at the Lakeway Activity Center. For tickets or questions, contact Sharida at 512-563-9542.
