Blakely Bering Joins Austin James As Gallery Partner
HOUSTON, TX. Blakely Bering, formerly of Bering’s Home Centers, is joining Austin James as partner. With the advent of the new partnership, the Austin James Gallery is changing its name to the Bering & James.
Austin James founded the gallery in 2001 under the name of Judy Speedway. Experiencing rapid growth, James moved his gallery to an attractive store front at 2482 Bolsover in Rice Village and changed the name to the Austin James Gallery. Now with the partnership with Bering, the two artists/entrepreneurs are pooling their talents to form the new Bering & James. Bering & James represents 25 artists including James and Bering themselves.
The Gallery will maintain "Corporate Walls" as its art consulting group. Corporate Walls educates organizations concerning their visual art options as well as provides quality art at affordable prices through traditional sales, leasing, and a unique rent-to-own option.
Bering & James is changing the way Houstonians buy art. The unpretentious owners have a savvy passion for what they do. Both are artists and each comes from a different background. Together they are a fun and powerful team. “Our goal is to educate clients daily on the joy of buying original art,” James said.
