Susan Tipton Kennedy, Deer Park, has retired from teaching both at Deer Park High School and San Jacinto College - Central. She relates, “I am now trying free-lance database programming in MS Access, where my major work is with the GI Department at Baylor College of Medicine. Sherri Haygood Babcock '70 will receive the 2006 Distinguished Alumna Award from Southwestern University Oct. 21. The Distinguished Alumna/us Award is the highest honor annually awarded by The Association of Southwestern University Alumni. Recipients exemplify the qualities of excellence as taught and represented by Southwestern.
Growing up with a Polish-American mother and a Canadian father, Doug Paisley '70 has always appreciated learning and culture. Living in places from Chicago, Hong Kong and Conroe, Texas, Paisley was immersed in a diverse world.
Therese Cristiani's passion for counseling has its roots at Southwestern where she was a psychology major under Professor of Psychology Doug Hooker and a resident assistant for two years.
