Austin American-Statesman Article Features SU Students Teaching University Staff
It's a twist on traditional English as a Second Language (ESL) courses where Southwestern students teach University staff. Students are matched one-on-one with a staff member, meeting two times a week throughout the semester in the writing center. The ESL program, however, does more than just a little language tutoring. Through the process, the student-teachers have also dedicated their time to help the staff reach some other goals. Read this article.
New Dean of Fine Arts Appointed
Dartmouth Professor Paul Gaffney has been appointed Southwestern University's New Dean of Fine Arts. As a theatre artist, Gaffney has specialized in the field of directing.
